Welsh personal lines and small business insurance broker, Motaquote, take an active part in the local community and pledges it's support to a number of charities. Take a look at the latest updates to our charity page and which charities Motaquote has chosen to support this year:
Welsh insurance broker Motaquote organised an Easter competition by engaging two local Welsh primary schools in creating an Easter Card as part of the forthcoming celebrations.
Motaquote's aim is to engage the local community in initiatives that inspire people of all ages. One of the first was a Easter competition which has seen two local schools Perthcelyn Primary Community School of Mountain Ash and Treorchy Primary School, Treorchy participate prior to the Easter school break.
The competition involved 6 and 7 year olds competing to produce a piece of artwork, which reflected the theme of Easter. The drawings created were light hearted, specific and some were general and involved the class of year 1 and 2 to think creatively, allowing them to reflect their views of how they see Easter.
Head Teacher of Perthcelyn Primary Community School, Mrs Austin said, “Having a local company such as Motaquote creating local initiatives for our pupils has been a tremendous idea. It has given the youngsters another opportunity to express themselves.
‘Lucy Taylor of Year 2 was the winner of the competition and will recieve 100 cards printed to give to her class school friends.

Motaquote will print the winners Easter cards and will make them available for the school to distribute to the class children’s friends and family as well as giving the winner a celebratory chocolate Easter gift.
Nigel Lombard, Managing Director said: “Motaquote has always been a local Welsh broker and we are keen to engage youngsters to participate in creativity. This is one of many initiatives that will help the community get involved in activities outside boundaries set in a normal week.
‘The goal for Motaquote is to give something back to the local community, inspire youngsters who may one day be our own local entrepreneurs. We want to encourage youngsters to develop their skills and become independent.”
Mrs Louise Evans, Head Teacher of Treorchy Primary School commented: “The children really enjoyed being creative and it’s always great for them to be doing something different. Chloe Leigh Rees of Year 1 was the winner of the Easter competition and is very excited to see her artwork in print. The school is always happy to liaise and have support from local businesses.”
